They did, but earlier this year (last year?) they announced they were splitting from Amazon to do their own thing, which they launched recently. So now when you go to borders.com, you get something completely their own.

Hey, didn't Borders used to be a part of Amazon or something? I seem to remember that Borders had their own online store, then they went away, and if you typed in borders.com, it just took you to Amazon's website.

Todd. For some reason I was thinking about you and decided to run a google search. Found your blog through some other twitter, facebook links.

Saw a pic of you in the blog with that distinctive expression and new right away it was indeed the Todd Lemoine I used to know from a la mode, inc. and later back in Oklahoma almost 10 years ago.

I'm sorry it's taken so long to track you down, but it's good to see you are alive and seemingly well.

Congrat's on the baby!

BBC news this morning ran a story about the video of the 16 year old being held in Guantanamo. SIXTEEN
YEARS OLD! Some thing is seriously wrong here.

It seems so simple to "remember to bring your own bags". But I never do. I hope if I pay for them (aren't I already?!?), then I'll remember to put them back in my van after I unload. Luckily, our recyling/trash takes the bags along with cardboard, paper, plastic, cans and glass so I am able to recycle them that way. Our art teacher sets up art centers for the kids and takes in a lot of our recyclables like plastic containers (think strawberry, blueberry, Ovaltine, etc) for projects so my paid-for recycling bin is practically empty except for wine bottles (we pay/return deposit regular bottles for $.10/ea in MI). So we basically look like we're boozers ;-)

It's almost hit the point of absurdity, with the plastic bags. Even when we go to the farmer's market on Wednesdays, we'll bring our cloth bags, but all the vendors there have their plastic bags, just like every other store. I suppose they have to provide something, and it's probably cheaper than paper bags, but when you get home from there with 10 bags of stuff because you went to 10 vendors, you just want to scream or laugh, something. Now we bring our own plastic bags, too.

I tried on a great pair of Dockers the other weekend. They weren't khakis, cargo, or chinos. I forget what they were called but the little sticker on them said they were to be "worn like jeans." They were *nice*. Light, but not too thin. I may have to go back. That's funny about buying jeans off ebay. A couple of months ago I swore to myself that if I bought clothes, they had to come from a consignment or thrift store. I caved though. These are just a pair of Wrangler's from Target. What can I say? They wear great.

Now that I've searched their site, I must highly recommend the bento-styled laptop lunch boxes. We own 5 sets (the kids didn't have a lunch room last year and I don't like baggies) and we love them. They are easy to use, easy to clean and keep a great variety for your lunch/leftovers. There are a lot of interesting lunch ideas for these lunch boxes online too. Makes you think a little more creatively.

Additionally, I should mention, depending on your feelings on it, for a few years, Eddie bought his jeans on ebay so they'd already be broken in and not scratchy. He doesn't have the patience for that now and lives in khakis now that they come in a million colors.
